Upgrade existing, or buy a new setup?

Short story: I want to know is it worth upgrading a GX620 USFF to have a hdmi out, if so how would I go about it or what would fit? Or... should I sell up and buy a dedicated htpc with hdmi out?

    Long story: I've decided I'm a little fed up of my current setup and something DEFINITELY needs a change! I currently have;

    Dell Optiplex GX620 USFF
    Intel P4 2.80GHz
Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2 Video with DVI out
    ADI 198x Integrated Audio
    1GB DDR2 Ram
40GB HDD (operating system & programs)
2TB External Drive (movies & tv shows)
    160GB External Drive (Music)
    7 x USB Ports, 1 x Parallel Port, 1 x Serial Port, 1 x DVI, Front & Rear Audio Ports
Software: Windows 7, Windows Media Player, My Movies for WMC and Media Centre Studio.

I currently have video coming to my HDTV from the DVI using a HDMI adaptor, which is perfect for video but this doesn't carry audio. I have separate speakers attached to the headphone jack for sound. Couple all this with an all in one surround sound and a ps3, its making for an absolute mess of wires and speakers, and turning this and that on to get sound and picture is wreaking me!

I quite like the USFF, its small, neat and its next to silent. If I could upgrade it to have a hdmi port I'd be delighted, but what I'm really wondering is, is it worth doing? Or would it be less of a financial expense to sell my present setup and but a pc with a hdmi.

Oh and one last thing, I bought a windows 7 upgrade for the pc as it has xp when I got my hands on it. Can I legally keep this operating system on a new pc and sell the present one with it installed? Or what will I need to do here?

Thanks in advance to those who read the whole thing! For those who just read the first bit, I don't blame you! :D

USB 2.0 is not fast enough to drive a HDMI Display.

We have Lenovo Port Replicators in work and they can't even drive a single 20 inch display i.e. moving a Window around the place is very Jerky and slow

Cheers Keith, I opened up the optiplex yesterday to get a look inside it to see if there was any room or if it was even possible, i have a feeling no is the answer to both anyway and I haven't read great things about the adaptors so I sold up.

The dedicated HTPC route seems to be the only way to go.
