Let banks fail

Should we be getting to the stage now where we, as a state, let a couple of banks fail as we can't afford to run them all.

Our Sovereign is being hit so badly due to the systemic nature it seems we are either going to have to let the banks fail or we default on our debt i.e the country fails.

Has anyone any good ideas on how this might be done?

There are 6 banks - we (the taxpayer) already own 4 of them and by Friday will most likely own 5 and a majority stake in the 6th.

2 of them are already being wound down and the deposit books have already been sold.

Therefore, the time to let them "fail" is past ..... we own them already. The aim now is to maximise return for the tax payers over time.
