Has anyone managed to connect the Samsung to a router via Cat5? Is there any setup that needs to be done

using the Iomega Screenplay Director. Its connected to the router easily (and to the TV directly via HDMI) but not reading it via router?

I have the C650 and yup I've got it connected to the internet. just plugged in a cat5 cable into the back and away she went. Have to say the internet functionality is quite disappointing though. Internet is only accessed through widgets and most of the apps supplied are useless. The facebook app is poor to say the least. The only apps of note are the Youtube and Vimeo ones. And the youtube app is restricted (one cannot view videos uploaded by Vevo for example)

To access files on a pc you need the Samsung share manager software.

Thanks...I had read the apps to be a bit useless so was reallyusing it to access remote movie files from my Iomega media player. Works fine when connected via USB but when I use Cat 5 it has the same error for both auto and manual modes...´Gateway Issue´....any ideas?

What IP address needs to be entered the TV or the router...assume the router assigns an IP address to the TV as it does with server, laptops, iPhones etc..

To access files on a pc you need the Samsung share manager software.

If it reads direct from the media player va HDMI then it must have software?
