Is anyone else having problems with this app? It says whe I open it that it is only available in the Rep of Ireland and UK and it needs to check my location. It keeps failing though?

Is it the app or just me?

you need to turn on location services and make sure it is enabled for that App; then restart the App and it should work

That location crap annoys me. I can't use their app but I can use their mobile website, makes no sense

I have the location services swtiched on but still no luck - i can't see why it wouldn't work, location services for all my other apps that use it and i am in my home wifi network so its not like connection is dodgy...i guess i'll have to use the actual website

And you have it specifically enable for the PP App as well? Make sure you shut the App down totally in the multitasking bar before restarting

I got this error, just restarted the app 3 times in quick succession to fix it.

It's because gambling apps are restricted. Certain countries don't allow betting on PP and other sites.
Mobile website often get through if they can't detect location.

Betfair often prevents me placing a bet on in-running markets 9on main website) due to location, so i have to phone it in

    hi,

mobile gambling apps that feature on the app store are required by Apple to check the location services to determine the location of the handset.

This stems from governmental restrictions that Apple and other US companies face when dealing with gambling companies.

Mobile websites do not feature on the app store hence they will simply do a simple IP location check as is typically found on the net.
