200km route

I'm trying to get myself ready for the WW200 and the Etape Hibernia later in the year and have been steadily getting to 4-4.5 hours for 100-130km (NS to Stocking Lane to Sally Gap to Roundwood to Enniskerry etc). On the Easter Bank Holiday & May Bank Holiday I'd like to do closer to 200km and was wondering if anybody had an interesting route I could try with some good climbs (Wicklow Gap etc)?

I don't mind doubling back (e.g. climbing from Laragh to Sally Gap). I'd like to see if I can do 200km in 8 hours.

Figured it'd take away from the day itself. Rather it be something new and untested than my redoing something I did a few months before?

I'm also doing the WW200 with a group and don't think it'd be right for me to do it before them.

I doubt that. there's a big difference between doing the route and doing the WW200 on the day, (its harder on your own) along with 1000's of others. Its the "Atmosphere" on the day that makes it special.

If it's your first push to 200 maybe keep it a bit flatter than that, certainly in the 2nd half so you don't totally kill yourself...

something like this perhaps, give you a flatter finish in along the coast but still gets in the Sally Gap and Slieve Maan

I guess. I'd still like to have a better idea of what's ahead of me though.
