Recording app?

    Hi guys,

    I'm looking to conduct some research over the phone and I was wondering if there are any apps for the iPhone that lets you record calls? I've googled this and searched the iTunes/App Store, but they're all either based in the US or are subscription based.

    Is there any way of recording calls in Ireland where you don't have to pay a subscription? I'd be willing to buy the app as long as it's a once-off. I have the iPhone 4 and I'm with O2. Also, I'm not up to date with the legality of this; is it legal? We can skip the ethics lecture :rolleyes:

    In the US at least, it's not legal to record phone calls without the other person's knowledge, I'd imagine it's similar here (most support lines have a warning at the start about calls being recorded for training purposes). Provided you let them know I dont think there's an issue.

    You could try multitasking, and using the inbuilt memo app with your phone on speaker. Test how it works first! :P
