I am looking for a bass player and drummer for two new projects based in Galway:

    1. Four-piece classic/hard rock band; I already have a keyboard player on board. Sample songs: ‘Smoke on the water’ (Deep Purple), ‘Stairway to heaven’ (Led Zeppelin), ‘Don’t stop me now’ (Queen), ‘Dancing in the dark’ (Bruce Springsteen).

    2. Three-piece playing r’n’b, blues, 1950s rock’n’roll and rockabilly. Sample songs: ‘Crossroads’ (Cream), ‘Treat her right’ (Rory Gallagher/Roy Buchanan), ‘Mystery train’ (Elvis Presley), ‘Something else’ (Eddie Cochran).

    * Pro attitude essential (reliability, punctuality etc).
    * Must have decent gear and own transport.
    * Vocals would be an advantage, as would theory knowledge and ability to read charts.

About me: I’m a singer and guitarist, 39, lots of varied experience with different sorts of music. I have PA and there is space to rehearse at my house near Moycullen (weekdays, preferably daytime).

If you’re interested in trying out for either of these bands, please get in touch.

    Hello,

I'm 28 year old drummer, have over ten years experience playing in various cover and original bands. I am currently in one gigging cover band, in and around Galway. we have regular gigs, 1-2 a week mostly at weekends.

I'm about to finsih a course in college so I'll be doing sweet f all for the summer, so am thinking about joing another band. have good pro gear and transport-being honest I dont own a car/van but have practically instant access to a van. I've sung now and again, know the basics of theory reading, although if your looking to hand me a sheet in the middle of a gig, there could be problems!

I like to give everything a proper go and give it all my time and energy to whatever band im in, but leaving the other band is not an option, I'm loyal like. In the long run, gigs could clash so don't want to be wating anyones time.

Anyways i'll leave it up to you to decide if it's worth a shot.

    P
