I have been using washable nappies since my dd was born and have loved them and she didnt seem to mind them. but now at 6 months as she is getting more active she seems to find them very uncomfortable.

Am i just imagining this or has anybody else had the problem and what did you do? I reaaly want to keep using them for many reason but they seem to restrict a lot of movement even though they are the right size.

We've used a few different kinds of cloth nappies, and have found different ones better for different ages (and different children). We couldn't use them at all for our first daughter b/c her belly was *enormous* but can use them no bother on our second daughter.

If you've had good luck with them in the past keep trying. Make sure they're not pinching your daughter anywhere (sometimes the wraps can dig into the thigh a bit), and if that doesn't help, try a different kind of nappy.

Another thought - have you changed anything recently? Laundry detergent? Are the clothes that your daughter wearing big enough? Are they pinching or putting pressure anywhere? How do you know that the nappy's annoying your daughter? Is it just the novelty of something to play with (as she's just reaching the age when she'd even notice them)?
