    Hiya,

Have been going through a bit of a hard time with an illness for the past few months and totally deserve a holiday. The only issue is cash- it's VERY scarce at the minute.
I would love to get away with my partner for a night or two to a hotel no more than 1- 1.5 hrs from Dublin. Ideally I would like it to have a pool, possibly spa treatments.
I am checking Citydeal and stuff but after that I don't know where to look.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Saw a thing on the news a few weeks ago saying waterford had the cheapest hotels in the country at the moment with the average price of a room being something like €59 per night which is great value.
This is probably because theres so many hotels in the city.

Plus waterford is a handy train journey from dublin.

I recently booked 2 nights b & b and I dinner for two people in the Fitzwilton waterford for €178. That's midweek. It's available through the hotel website. They seem to have some good offers for April.

There were other good deals in Waterford on booking.com

The Select Hotels Group are doing a deal at the moment 2 nights B & B for the price of 1. Prices midweek are € 99 for two people or € 129 for weekend.

A nice hotel in the group not far from Dublin is The Westgrove Hotel in Kildare it has pool, spa etc.

Offer must be booked by 31 March 2011 and is valid until the end of April I think.

Select hotels have 24 hotels in Ireland, their number is 1850 200 560. Hope you feel better soon. Enjoy the break :D

Dunboyne Castle is lovely and the spa is great too - and you get a bus there if you want
