    Hi,

I'm just finishing up that course in Limerick and found it very good a lot of the stuff I knew already but I've been tinkering around with computers for a few years. There is a few projects to be handed in through the year and theyare usually all due together LOL,

I'm going on to progress to level 6 next year which goes more indepth into the networking side, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get into the IT industry :)

Thanks for getting back to me. Would you say it has as much networking then maintenance or are the equal. Also where are you doing the level 6, in the same I.T. as you are now?

The networking itself was 1 module most of it networking was theory based, trouble shooting and configuring .etc but it also came into the other subjects like system software and computer arch.

There was a good bit of practical work where we put together a custom build PC and did a demonstration on camera for a project which was 1 part of the Hardware essentials, some of the write ups were for skills demonstrations when installing hardware (taking screen shots) to show drivers being installed .etc

I will be doing level 6 in the same place www.lcfe.ie in limerick, we were told that next year gets more into the practical side of networking, working with servers.

The programming we did was java which was a bit head wrecking at first but once you got into it it wasn't too bad, next year it's VB visual basics which is supposed to be a doddle compared to java

Good luck with it if you decide to apply:D

Yay everyone loves theory :D Not to worried about java, I have done java before so my skill level, should be enough for this, I did first year forensics and didnt like it lol Cool didnt know limerick did the level 6, I dont see Waterford having it so would need to travel. Ah I have the name in an all, got the interview the 25th of this month. Sound for getting back to me again
