Getting to Finglas

I need to get to Jamestown business park by 8:30 am from Dun Laoghaire.

I can drive, but I'm not sure what the M50 is like that time of day, it I can get the dart to Tara st. And the 19 it 19a from fleet street.

Am I mad to even consider public transport for this? According to the DB website the 19 takes 30 minutes, but I am highly sceptical.

I'd allow 35-40 minutes for the 19 or 19a from Westmoreland Street to get there.

M50 is the way to go, traffic flow is great since the upgrade, it's much quicker to use the M50 then to use public transport.

I go from Swords to Ballymount everyday and it rarely takes me more then 25-30 mins apart from the occassional crash...

Also traffic going SB is always heavier then NB so you should have a nice relaxing drive :D

Drive it, the M50 isn't that bad in the mornings anymore, come off at Finglas, go left at Charlestown Shopping Centre and straight through the lights past the centre into Lanesborough and come to the roundabout, go right and you'll be at the business park.

I 3rd driving it. Don't do M50 myself (only M1 northbound) but plenty of people in office in Swords do it every day from various entry points without any complaints since upgrade. Some do full length from Wicklow. Also recession has been good in reducing congestion. Mondays in particular are much much lighter.

You'd be mad to take public transport in this city unless you work in the city centre and only need to take one bus/train/luas. That's almost a universal rule as connections are still very very poor. We just don't yet have the concept.

Thanks for the responses, I had guessed the M50 was the best option, I just wanted to check all alternatives.
