My boss gives those interviews, he doesn't like doing it but he really gives it his all to try make a fair assessment. i.e. will this person last the course... will they be able to persevere through the coursework and exams over the long haul rather than just coast through a couple of years only to drop out?

Try to show interest, aptitude and ambition. The more you're excited by science the better.

I posted tips on preparing for interviews here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055676871 Post number 4.

I'm doing a Health Science course, not Science but those tips will help any one applying as a mature student, imo.

    Dear Larianne,

Just a quick question, hoping to pick your brains. I cant find anywhere on boards the response time of RCSI to interviews in graduate pharmacy. Have you ever had anyone ask this or heard of a ballpark figure? Interview was yesterday!

    Thanks a mill

I honestly couldn't tell you. But colleges usually get back to you within a week of the interview if you've been successful. Don't take that as set in stone though.

    Best of luck. :)
