    Hi,

i was on a fixed rate of 4.95% and am coming off it, my new options are:

    4.8% fixed for 2 years
    5.1% fixed for 3 years
    4.35% standard variable

Mortgage is 230k over 35 years, 3yrs gone on it. Im thinking i will take the 5.1% fixed for 3 yrs. i like the security of knowing what i will be paying each month.

    what do people think? Thanks

+1 think your right there, i definitely wouldn't go near the 4.35% standard variable anyway.

Thanks dillodaffs - am with them myself so was just wondering about the fixed rates.
As for whether or not its a bad thing being with UB.....I'm not going to comment, in case I start ranting!!

Do you mind telling me when UB offered you those rates dillodaffs ?

I got a rate change letter today, and the fixed rates on it are
    5.4% fixed for 2 years
    5.7% fixed for 3 years

but both are for <90% LTV.

thats weird....my fixed rate ended 31 March, the letter i got from them was dated 15 March 2011.

both the fixed rates they offered me are for <90% LTV as well.
