I've woken up late the last two mornings to discover the alarm on my 3GS hasn't gone off properly. The snooze notification screen is up but no sound. It works when I test it, but it seems that sometimes the alarm isn't sounding.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Think this is always the case after the clocks go back/forward. Google it for a solution. But i think it sorts itself out

Probably another daylights Savings time issue. Happened last year too (in the Autumn I think). I think you need to delete your alarm, and start a new one.

    did you update your software?

Software is up to date. In fact, I think that might be the issue. I've only noticed this since upgrading to 4.3.1.

I'm not sure this is a DST issue. It appears that alarm is technically going off, and I'm getting a snooze notification screen, but there's no sound. It works okay when I test it, but there must be something wrong that this has happened two mornings in a row.

I thought the DST issue just caused it to go off an hour late/early?

the last time the clocks changed that happened me it sorted itself out after 3days

My iPhone 4 caused me to sleep in on New Years day due to their first bug which was crap cause I was working and then also was an hour late for work.

    - Then on Mon. (yest) it went off an hour early, I deleted the alarm and set up a new one for a minute later (just in case) but no, it still went off an hour early again.

Genius stuff Apple, thanks a bunch

Yeah, same here. I'm gonna set 3 alarms tonight, 1 an hour earlier, 1 on time and 1 an hour late...one of them's gotta work!

Stupid fuppin' iPhone alarm I'm up at 6.10 am the last 3 mornings due to the wife's alarm going off an hour early despite me deleting the original one and creating a new one! I was late for work 3 weeks Ago when I was over seas as I set the alarm in a new time zone, but by editing an existing alarm instead of creating a new one! It didn't go off and caused me a serious pain I. The arse for the day, crazy that the can cram so much into the devices and get something so simple wrong!
    Tired and grumpy!

Bothered me that the update lists some of the the bug fixes but neglects to mention that they've implemented a fix that brings the wonderous iPhones alarm capabilities in line with any 2 Euro Store plastic watch.

Re: my original problem of the alarm going off but not sounding, it worked okay today, but yesterday the same thing happened again. It went off okay the first two times and each time I pressed snooze. But the third time it didn't go off again and when I looked at it the snooze notification was up with no alarm sound.
