I'd love to get a burr grinder but cant afford one so I'm wonderin in the mean time would this work for espresso grind? Will it grind them fine enough for espresso? I know some other cheaper hand grinders supposedly struggle with this type of grind.

    cheers

if it'll do turkish grind then I can't imagine there would be a problem. You'll just need lots of elbow grease to grind fine enough for espresso. I have a hario skerton that does a good job with espresso grind. I think Coffee Angel still sell them. Might be one or two available in 3FE too.

Turkish grind is finer than that for Espresso.
If the grind appears to be consistently even then I'd say it will be good.

I used to use my Kyocera with my espresso machine and had no issues.
You'll eventually want to more onto a electric grinder but as an interim it should do you well.
