Does anyone know where the original house plans are kept for estates? Our estate was built by Menolly Homes. They say they dont keep records of their housing estate plans or houses. (which i find hard to belive) (reason i need them is for a structural engineer just the main house plans are needed)
They say Fingal County Council might have them? Anyone know if these are indeed kept somewhere? I am azmazed its so hard to get them as there are about 200 of these houses built!

Anyone buying a new house should have secured a copy of the plans through their solicitor in the first instance.

However the local planning department will most likely have copies. You will have to pay a small fee and you will most likely need a letter from your solicitor confirming that you are the registered owner before the council will release a copy. Alternatively you could produce a copy of the Folio together with photographic ID as proof that you are the owner.

Land registery department in the Four Courts.

I went into them in person, and got the old original estate plans for my mothers house from them.

Very easy and quick to deal with.:)

    When were they built?
The council would have records of recent planning permissions.
Land registery would have some recent plans
The original architects would have plans from the last maybe 10 years

The Solicitor who acted for Menolly in selling the house should have a copy of all the plans too.

Built around 2000, I emailed fingal Co co and they responded by saying they have forwarded my email to their blanchardstown office, fingers crossed :) Probably have to jump through hoops lol.

Shouldn't be dificult to get get plans from 2000.
I don't have any experience with FingalCoCo bit SDCC are top notch.
I can do an online search for you if you like. Just PM me some details.
Estate address, doesn't have to be your specific house number. And i'll see what I can dig up.
