Anyone know of a good site where you can buy engine oil for a good price. Need to get some 5w-30 and cant afford castrol magnatec any more ( 31 euro for 4 litres from local motor factors)

Thought €31 for 4 litres of 5w-30 magnetec would be quite competitive tbh.

EDIT - Was thinking castrol edge so thinking is way out there.

31 isin't too bad relatively speaking for 4 liters of 5w30 magnetec anyway, your going to pay 20-25 for own brand/ bottom of the range oils, but you do get that extra liter with most others.

Aldi or Lidl have oil for sale atm.

It was €31 before vat and i agree that it was cheap for castrol oil as halfords were a fair bit more expensive but i was hoping there might be somewhere you could buy it online for a bit of better deal. It might buy a false hope tbh. I've heard good things about the aldi/lidl oils, what european standard do they conform to?

Lidl's oils are 10W40 and 15W40 semi synth so not what you need. Seems to conform to a long list of standards though. And at 16.99 for 5 litres I've been very happy with the 10W40.

Both my Alfa 2.0 Twinspark and the family Volvo 2.0 Turbo petrol. Regular changes; no downsides so far.

Tesco sell both Castrol and their own brand cheaper than most Motor Factors.
