[Info] Is the CAO necessary for making a deposit?

I'm not sure if this should go here or in the UL forum, but it seemed better here...

I want to start making deposits on student accommodation in places in Cork, Galway and Limerick. University of Limerick has recently become my favourite choice, but unfortunately I hadn't looked at UL much until after I had submitted my CAO application online. Now, it seems the UL website won't let me place a deposit because they don't have my CAO details, and apparently I can't change my CAO form until May. I'm afraid if I leave it until until May to put down a deposit it might be too late...

So is there a way I can get around this? Is there any point in maybe calling up the accom office and explaining I want to put down a deposit even though UL isn't on my CAO yet?

    Thanks in advance.

Why would you put down a deposit now, only to lose it when you don't get a place in Limerick?

You get almost all of the deposit back if you don't get offered a place at UL.

If you want campus accomodation, then wait until may and book then. Otherwise Groody student complex is only a 15 minute walk from uni and you can book that now www.groodyvillage.com. The prices are ok and you're near the bus route to town, walking distance to Aldi.
