    Hi guys,

bit of a Nintendo noob here(last Nintendo product I owned was a N64)

Basically I am trying to connect the 3DS wireless to my Eircom Zyxel router.

However everytime I do it it says my connection type is not supported. Does this mean I have to change the WPA settings or open some ports. I tried doing it manually to but it kept telling me my WEP key was wrong(which it is not)

Any help with this would be great and my god I can't wait for Zelda to come out. Childhood nostalgia here I come

    Thanks

Is it WEP or WPA encryption? The DS's to date only supported WEP. Would like to think the 3DS supports WPA as WEP is pretty much useless security

    Ah, mine is WPA.

Thats a little bit dissapointing if it doesent support WPA. :(

Will change it to WEP, thanks man.

That's weird. Mine connects fine on WPA 2 (AES)...

3DS should be able to connect to WPA, WPA2, and WEP.
Maybe you got a character in the key wrong or something?
