In a rocky patch..

I don't even know where to start, I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months now. I've known him years though, we went to the same school. Before we got together properly he did mess me around, he cheated on me, lied to me and absolutely shattered my heart.

Things did seem to change though last summer and he grew up I suppose you could say. Although last month he went away on a class trip and ever since we havent been the same. He's become very distant and disagrees with my opinions, whereas before he would let me express my views. Just the other night i felt humiliated by him as he disregarded my beliefs in front of his friends.

Another problem; theres this one girl that I know he used to text romantically before we got together. She's been texting/calling him non stop and even leaving him public messages on Facebook! One evening he asked me to reply to a text from his trainer and there was a message from her saying "I'm so sorry you almost missed your bus because of me again". I didnt say anything to him at the time because I felt guilty for reading it, but now I feel I should

I'm just so torn as to what to do, its like I cant win with him anymore. To celebrate us meeting for the first time I arranged a day out together and I told him a few times in advance, but when we woke up that morning he decided to spend the whole day drinking with his friends and go to two girls house parties.. He always say he wants to be together forever and I've not to leave him. But its our anniversary this week and he's already made other plans, which include the aforementioned girl :(

I'm honestly at a loss, I don't want to admit defeat to myself but i'm sensing enough is enough..:(

How's it your anniversary when it's only 6 months?

Anyway you should dump him, he hasn't changed

Because, I've known him four years, we've been on and off so long that we now celebrate every month together. Silly you might think, but I was very ill a while back that it scared us both into appreciating being together....

Just my opinion, but I don't think you're going through a "rocky patch", I think you're in a bad relationship and should say goodbye.

Scared you, yes. Scared him, no.
