    Recently someone stole the mirror glass from my wife's car, a 2002 Merc A Class.

    I notice today that there is what looks like a piece from a car sitting right beside it and someone has taken the trouble of spitting up the side of the car.

    I have found the beneath image. It's the piece on the left.

    I have taken that from a Dutch VW forum. Is there any chance that could be used in an A-Class also? Have they taken a piece off to get access elsewhere?

    Any ideas?

    I'm not sure what you are looking for.

    Is the glass gone or the plastic cover of the wing mirror? You can get a replacement glass in a motorfactor for a few euros, it won't be the same but is usable.

    The cover can be more difficult to get on its own however unless you can get one in a breakers yard

    Sorry I haven't explained myself properly.

    Someone nabbed the mirror glass a few weeks ago and I had to replace it.

    Today I saw that piece lying beside the car and a gob up the side of it and was wondering has that piece come off the car and someone is using our car as a source of parts or is it just a coincidence, it has come off someone else's car.
