Chrome alloys ruined!

Hi - I am new to the boards so I hope someone can help/advise me. My Volvo chrome alloys have gone corroded looking. I just read a blog from a guy in a similar situation but the blog is dated last year.

I am a girl and would not have a clue how the repair the alloys myself. Is there anyone I could get to repair the chrome on the alloys. I don't want to have to buy new alloys as I'd be afraid the same thing would happen to the new ones. I really love my car and the alloys but now my wheels look crap!

    Any advice?

Can you post pics of the alloys?
    Where are you based?
Are you willing to pay for the job or do you want to have a go yourself at repairing them?

    Hi Biko

I work and park in Eyre Square, Galway. I would pay for someone to bring the alloys back to what they originally looked like. I am sceptical though as I can't see how anyone could make them look new again. Are you interested in the job? How much would you charge?

Heres a heads up on those chrome wheels with the paint flaking.

Volvo are giving a 40-60% warranty coverage on them regardless of the age of the car.

You`ll need to email pics of the damge to your local dealer with a service history and current mileage.

Those wheels are around 350 each + vat but Volvo will do replacement wheels for 120 each + vat under warranty.
