I've written here before, but I was on JSA, I broke my ankle, so was on SWA and then moved in the same week that I was deemed fit for work (Final Cert) to Dublin. I've started a WPP, and have applied to SW for my JSA, for which I'm waiting on a response. I was going to go to the CWO for my area (Dublin 7) when before I got the chance to I received my SWA cheque at my new address. great!

and I'd received it to my new address up until last week. I received nothing. still nothing this week. so i've tried to ring them but they won't answer the bloody phone! i've to take time off work (again) to try sort this out, to call into them, but I know they only open some hours, do you know what hours the Quarry road office is open to the public?

also does anyone have any idea why it'd have been stopped on me?? i'm desperately running out of money as this is my only income, and now i've to move apartment again, and have to have enough for a deposit before i get my old one back.

Ok im trying to get my head around this one. You move while you were on swa. What I am thinking in view of the fact that you had sent in a final cert... your DB claim is now closed and you did not have any active claim on the system your cwo closed you swa claim. You have now made a JSA claim in Dublin... you should have asked for your claim to be transferred as they will have your means results at your former sw office. The best advice I can give you is go to your local cwo in Dublin and apply for swa again until you jsa is up and running. Question have you moved to Dublin for your WPP if you have then it its your home sw office that should be dealing with this. You should be able to get payment into your bank account while on the WPP and do a postal signing.

ok, don't understand why the CWO would cut me off SWA because of me moving, they'd been sending cheques to my new address for weeks. but thanks for your input anyway.i did explain to them that i was previously on JSA, i told them everything, explained about the WPP, no one's asked for bank account details. and i've been told i'll have to be means tested again. don't care cause i'm barely surviving on what i have but it just means more delays. i'll try ring them again tomorrow, but if i get no answer i'll have to get off early and call in. hate this ****. they make it so difficult. and then of course when i get there they wont be open.

You shouldnt have to be means tested again if they get the claim from you old office there should be a means result in that. I think the reason cwo stopped payment is that they were paying you while you were unable to work with injury and now that claim is closed.

ok, yeah probably. so i've to go make a fresh claim with CWO in the meantime. nothing i can do about the SW now. i said all that about having a claim before so it's up to them what they do about it.

any ideas about opening times for the CWO in Quarry Road?

No not in Dublin but most cwos are available 9.30-11.30 better phone hse in your area to see when they are there.

I am surprised that sw office did not get you to fill in a form to transfer your claim. I would check that out again. I presume that you claim was quite recent.
