North west France with teens advice?

We will drive/sail to cherbourg in June with our 3 teens, looking for advice on areas to stay. The idea was to have a week with some activity (normandy coast? eg campsite) and then a week for some quiet and inexpensive relaxation (eg rural gite inland) and maybe during this time do 1 day or 2 day trip to Paris (by car or by train) en famille - so the gite location is with this in mind.

Also trying to do this on a budget (I don't ask much...!!).

Advice from anyone who knows that part of France much appreciated.

I'd recommend Chateau Des Ormes as a good place to stay.

It's near the small town of Dol de Bretagne.
