I'm a newish player and need some lessons.I know it cost around €35
per half hour. But I was wondering if any one knows of any colleges or
clubs that do a course in golf.
Something like a 8 week course.
I live in Ratoath,so not to far from Dublin (15 mins)

A lot of schools that do adult evening classes do 8 week group lessons and they work out at good value. But there probably won't be any of those starting until September.

I did one a few years ago and I think it was €110 for 8 weeks.

Try ringing a few pros and see if they do group lessons. You might get out in a group of four or something for €100 per hour between the four of ye.

Someone else might know of a specific pro in your area doing this - you are within a short drive of a lot of golf clubs anyway.

    Maybe try Elmgreen in Blanch/Castleknock.

I got a lesson from Mark O'Mahoney before. He is based out of The Ward Golf Centre and I found him very good.

also works out of the Ward Driving Range - have used him before and thought he was good, would recommend. He is the golf pro at Hollywood Lakes for last 6months or so also.

woudl agree, have had a couple of lessons with him before too a while back. He is more expensive and really should only be used for low handicap golfers - he teaching young golf professionals trying to get onto tour, top rated amateurs etc. He is quite technical, so if you're a higher handicap, I recommend other pros to get rid of you big faults woudl be better.
