Newbie Training Plan - Ring of Kerry 2011

Hi there, was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of any online training plans. Only new to cycling (apart from school and college), many a year ago.

Have signed up to do the Ring of Kerry cycle in July, and while it is only a charity cycle would like to be able to complete relatively comfortably and enjoy the experience. At the moment my longest spins are only about 20 miles but know I need to up this considerably over the next few weeks to have any hope of completing this.

At the moment I do some running and ran the Dublin City marathon last October, so would have a decent level of fitness, and have no problem in putting in the training required.

Second question, at the moment I have limited myself to the Phoenix Park for my spins, partially as I am based in Chapelizod, and secondly only getting use to the traffic again. Can anyone recommend some good varied routes around Dublin that I could try, as I think I would go mad if i had to loop around the park 5/6 times to build up the mileage.

    Thanks

There is a Ring of Kerry Cycle web site, it has a good training guide.
