Wasn't a BMXer myself as I was a Grifter owner, but my little bro had a few in his days. Reading this thread brought back some memories. Remember they were so big back in the day. We even went to a local sports complex to watch Eddie Fiola and a few other stars of the day do their tricks!!

ya id be up for that, nice summers day to show off some of the chrome and old school hardware!! :-) its a petty we couldnt speard the word to the papers and get a little artical wrote up about the bmx old school meet!! i mean teres tons of people out tere who had these babys back in the day and still love them to this day!! id say they would go mad for it :-)

Hi mate any ideas how we could get this together ? maybe for the moment we could pick a date and time and just turn up with one of our little gems and take it from there .or :)ive just got a brain wave maybe post a ad on one of the sites like for sale section ref. raleigh burner and advertise a meeting up of old school bmxs in the phoenix park at such at and such atime ?

i might email a few small local newspapers or echos or metro and see if they would run a little ad!! :-) call it " OLD SKOOL BMX IRELAND" !!

they could run an ad saying all welcome and if you bring a bmx it has to 1980s only a good point made buy paul , no point in having new stuff i would imagin, as long as its 70s,80s bmx any make or brand from that time that would do it!!!

id say we would would need about 20 or more to give it a go!! if the paper got about 20 bikes in a photo that would look amazing and people would take notice!! :-)
