    Hi,

was looking round at used cars and found a Renault Megane that needs a cylinder change and a rear wheel bearing change. Anyone know how much this would cost and would it be worth my while? Its 2001, 80,000 miles €700

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

What kind of cylinder? You're better off buying a car that has nothing wrong with it. And €800 Meganes are guaranteed to be crap.

Guessing the cylinder you mention is themaster brake cylinder, either that or a rear brake cylinder.

Rear brake been cheaper and wheel bearing change, aren't big jobs.

I'd guess €200 from an indy mechanic.

I'd personally shop around for the money, you could pick up a car with less immediate problems right now. Good luck.

The 01 shape megane is the old model and so if its a well enough looked after car it will be reliable, especially if it has the older 8v engine.
