I'm currently 2 years into a trainee contract in a small firm and am currently starting to suffer from lack of confidence.

Have made silly errors due to clients workings being a mess normally but recently I sent out a set of draft accounts for a second time as there was a paragrapgh missing in the statement of directors responsibility and just really wondering if anyone else was like this or should I start looking outside of accounting.

Stick with it, it sounds just like an oversight in the rush to be efficient and get the accounts out. They were still Draft accounts. It can happen to anyone, just proof read everything figures, notes correctly referenced and statements before sending things out. Go into work early or work through lunch when you know you have to get things out to give yourself a bit more time, it will give you more confidence too.
