Never. Usually wake up before the alarm and switch it off before it starts. Rock hard me.

Twice this morning. But that's because I know my snooze is set for nine minutes. And I need to get up on an even number. Definitely definitely even...........<rocks back and forth>

Don't torture myself with the alarm going off every 5 mins when I know I'm staying in bed for another 40 mins anymore. Now I delete the original alarm and set a new one for 40 mins later so I can actually sleep.:D

Until I wake up slightly and notice that I should've gotten up 5 snoozes ago then skip breakfast, shower and drive like the hammers of hell into work

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,740 ✭✭✭Asphyxia

Once or twice, I've gotten into a habit of waking up before the alarm goes off now though.

    Alarm set for 8:30.

    Snooze for 8:40.

    Slept in until 11:20.

    Luckily I don't work.

Usually three or four snoozes on the mobile phone, one on the clock radio and one or two on the boyfriend's phone. It's alarm central and I'll still be late!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,327 ✭✭✭Sykk

Co-incidental thread.. I murdered the snooze button this morning.. got up 20 minutes late and ended up in work 1 minute before i'd have been late..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 52 ✭✭ishvalian

Usually 1, if i have been drinking the night before or went to bed late, it will be 4-5 as i usually skip breakfeast in favour of the extra 30 mins in bed.

I am always awake before the alarm so never!
Then when it's time to get up I jump out of bed like a little ball of energy*

*cos I'm usually bursting for a shite first thing :pac:

Alarm set for 5.30, I snooze until 6.30 @ 20 min intervals.

I usually just ho out of bed. screw snoozing, only makes it harder to get out...

I used to be a serial snoozer, but i have long since been banned from setting or in fact touching an alarm, largely due to said repeat snoozing, so now the answer is never:mad:

I have 4 separate alarms set to get me up. Sometimes snooze the last one once if I'm really snoozy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,451 ✭✭✭ceadaoin.

Usually twice even though I always fully intend to get up after the first one. Why is the bed so much comfier when it's time to get up?

If I dont have to be up urgently then I just set a new alarm

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,058 ✭✭✭✭Abi

I have my alarm set to go off at five minute intervals so I'm normally sufficiently pissed off with it enough to get up after two or three.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 850 ✭✭✭SoulTrader

I don't snooze. I just switch it off and hope I wake up again within the next 45 minutes.

I used to do that thing where you leave your alarm on the other side of the room, so that you have to get out of bed to switch it off. I don't do it anymore though, because I got fed up lying in bed listening to my alarm going off.

After many years of experimentation 3 snoozes:

Alarm at 6am snooze for 40 minutes.
Alarm at 6:40am snooze for 40 minutes.
Alarm at 7:20am snooze for 40 minutes.
Alarm at 8am up alert and refreshed.

Twice usually, but more often than not I'm well awake before the alarm and turn it off.

It used to be 5-10 times.

Now I put the alarm clock on the other side of the room and litter the space between the clock and my bed with Lego pieces.

Add a few upturned plugs for those days you really need to be alert.

8.45, snooze for 15 minutes, up at 9 or and optional 15 minutes snooze to 9.15.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 118 ✭✭Panda General

Usually 4 or 5 times, but if it is something important i leave the alarm on the other side of the room so i have to get up to turn it off

I still do this but I'm like a drunk in the mornings - I run over to the phone, snooze the alarm and run back to bed with the phone in hand for when it snoozes next....I never learn

That said fúck lego pieces I'd rather be late :pac:

I got one of those puzzle alarm clocks where you have to do a mini 6 piece jigsaw to turn the alarm off. Was funny for the first day, then after that it just lay in pieces in the bin...

1 ten minute snooze followed by a **** to wake me up properly

My alarm went off at 8.20 the other morning and I hit snooze up until ten to 10. Around 13-14 times I reckon

Normally 4, but I've gotten into a really bad habit of pressing snooze in my sleep.

This morning I was meant to get an 8 o'clock bus, set my alarm for 7, woke up to an alarm at 7:54. I must have pressed snooze 5 times in my sleep. I missed my bus :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,130 ✭✭✭Azureus

Set my alarm for five am, then set snooze for 5 minute intervals. I get up between 6-9 snoozes later between 5.30-5.45 to catch a 6am bus. Eugh I hate mornings.

Used to be about 10 times .................

until I had children! Now I have to get up, have a shower, get myself ready then get kids up and get them ready for school before I go to work. Five extra minutes in bed is just not worth the stress suffered afterwards trying to get everything done in a shorter time!
