is dental work covered on a doctors vist medical card

    Hi
    My partner is having alot of problems with his teeth lately
    We both lost out jobs awhile back so we can not afford dental care

    We both got doctor visits cards so i am wondering is dental
    care covered on these

    you are intitel to 2 pieces of treatment per year with a medical card.
    your dentist can apply for approval from the HSE for any addititional treatment. this coud take up to 6 weeks and this may or may not be succesfull, ortherwise you will have to pay. but go and talk to your dentist.

    True, but not what the OP asked. A GP visit card does not entitle the holder to any dental treatment.

    leave the dentistry to the dentists.read op's question. if you dont know it's better not to post inaccurate info
