    hi all,
any suggestions on removing paint from metal body ,(orignal paint, not been painted before).
Did a m4 body before by using very light steel wool but that consumed alot of time, i have a feeling just leaving it soak in paint stripper etc wouldnt be 2good for the metal (maybe im wrong) so any suggestions?

    thanks

I stripped a classic army b&t MP5 before by soaking it in nitromores overnight :p I think theres still pictures up here somewhere!
Tbh though if I was to do it again I'd probably use steel wool myself, then buff it to perfect shine :)

Soaking metal in thinners or paint stripper won't do any damage to the metal parts. Just make sure it's ONLY metal parts and there' no plastic bits attached or glued on - they WILL dissolve.

Any tips for removing paint from a solid plastic stock, or is it better to respray?

depends on the paint type and the plastic...

If the paint is flaking/peeling/easily removed - best remove and respray.
Iso Propyl Alcohol / Iso Propanol works wonders on many paint types over sensitive substrates. Worth a try... (I'll get ya some Phil to give it a go)

If it needs a respray - I can sort ya also. ;)
    pm on the way
