Cooneys hotel? It looks decent and the reviews on tripadvisor are good.

Wouldnt bother with Cooneys at all to be honest. Take them to Glasson. Loads of places there

as plastic glass said you could go to Glasson, lots of really nice places there Grogans, Farrells, the Village restaurant, Wineport and the golf club but if you're looking for accomodation aswell Wineport and the golf club could be on the pricey side (the others don't do accomodation I don't think).

Otherwise, check out Skelly's in Ballymahon, they have nice restaurant where you can book one of the rooms out for private functions. They also have a b&b with 10 or 12 rooms upstairs and the pub itself is lovely.

Cooney's Hotel probably good mid-week, but if you stay there on a night when the night-club is open you won't get much sleep ! The rooms are colse to the nightclub, and the room windows face the laneway where the nightclub exit is located.
