    Hi Folks,

Looking for some advise, when I out for a spin on the bike, after about 80-90km, just above my right knee begins to hurt, and is fine as soon as I stop.

A friend suggested I might need to put an insole in my shoe to correct this.

Also I have double checked my setup on the bike, i.e. when the pedals are horizontal to the ground my knee is directly above the cheat on my shoe.

Has anyone else experienced this and any advice on how they resolved or corrected the problem?

    Thanks for any information.

Theres no easy answer to your question man. It could be loads of different things. I had knee trouble a few months back and went to a phsyio and got exercises and thought it might have been my cleats or pedaling style or winter training bike or winter spinning sessions....

I swear to god, I thought it might have been my converse trainers. I always wanted a pair, never had em, bought a pair -plain blue canvas converse, wore em every day since September ish. Stopped wearing them completely 2 months ago on a suspicion that their flat footedness and lack of cushioning could have been the problem -knee thing is completely gone!

For what it's worth the physio I went to is cycling-specific, he's on Pearse street (Dublin) and he was very good.

You need to see a specialist to get this sorted. We cannot offer any medical/injury related advice

    Thanks
