Hello all just looking for some basic advise on the fundamentals of campervan conversion. Thinking of buying a fiat scudo van & converting it into a daycamper. Something basic that can allow me to sit in comfort with a small table for eating at & also doubles as a bed for a decent nights sleep. This needs to be a minimal expense project, im on a very tight budget.

    - What type of insulation would i need. If any?
    - What sort of lining would i need to cover the interior?
    - What is the most suitable wood for constructing a seating/bed arrangement?
    - Do i need to insulate the floor?
    - Any good websites/links that explain all this sort of stuff.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanks

Check out this thread, and go to self builders corner

Or check out my conversion project

    Plenty of ideas there.

You'd want to get the finger out though. New legislation is coming in April 2012 to say that all conversions must be carried out by certified workshops only.
