Masters Road and TT Champs?

Am I correct that Cycling Ireland doesn't run a Masters Road or TT National Championships?
And that the IVCA do this by default, but they are not the national governing body and their races are not 'open' in the normal sense to non IVCA members (and membership has strings attached that people outside of Leinster cannnot fulfill).

Masters Cycling is alive and well in Ulster.
There is a series of races held usually as an extra event during a scheduled Open Race. The biggest turnout this season (36riders) was at the Phoenix GP at the end of February.
The races are open to any A4 rider who has passed his 50th birthday.
As numbers increase it may be expanded by the addition of either an A3 Masters riders category or it may evolve to an ability based handicap system.
Hopefully Cycling Ireland will soon begin to take this initiative seriously and promote a National Masters Championship.Three or four riders could qualify from each of the 32 counties and compete in an All Ireland Masters Race.

Veterans Road Race and TT Championships are held. "Veterans" are riders 40 or over in the current year

In addition there is due to be "Masters" track championships this year, which are usually run in 10 year age categories - depending on numbers this could be 40-49, 50-59, 60+. There is a possibility, again based on numbers, of separate women's championships - otherwise they are given a 5 year handicap benefit in the above categories (and can participate from age 35)

The term "Master" has been adopted for the 50+ races referred to by Donegaler above. These are not open races as only those aged 50 or more with an A4 or club competition licence can participate. They are mainly run in Ulster, although I know morana is keen to see if we can generate more interest in vets/masters racing in the other provinces

Is there a date for this, or any other details - I don't see it on the Track Cycling Ireland calendar?

There is a separate calendar on www.trackcycling.ie
I've not seen anything about dates for this event yet, although there appear relatively few "windows" during July/August because of the other championships being held (they could push it back to September though I guess)

I think it would be great if we could get something going for vets with marriages and girlfriends, jobs etc. I posted elsewhere on it.
