Hi, Can anyone help me find a baptism course.

The baptism is taking place in the midlands but I need to be able to attend a course in Dublin as that is where we are living

    Many thanks for your help

The ordinary way is that a child is baptised in the parish the parents are registered with, which is usually the parish they live nearest to.

There is a reason for that and it is because the child becomes part of a parish community and it also makes things simpler if the child is to avail of other sacraments during his/her life since all the sacramental records are in the one place.

If you need to make special arrangements, you can speak to your parish priest and I am sure he will advise you on what to do.

Thanks for the help folks - Unfortunatly I cannot make contact with the local priest and he's not returning calls . It's Catholic

I understand that many priests are busy but please return a call

Most churches have info on the notice board at the back of the church and in the churcg bulitens about this stuff. Failing that, just go into the sacristy after Mass and talk to the priest then.
