Question about syncing itouch

    Hi all

    I have recently rebuilt my PC from the ground up. No big deal all went well, however I did make one silly mistake. When it came time to rename the PC I just used the default one I was give instead of using the original name.

    When I reloaded itunes it recognised the PC as different and I had to authorises it as a new PC. This meant my library was lost. When I reconnected the itouch to the PC I downloaded from the itouch everything back to itunes on the PC. I can now see all of the apps on the itouch in the library of itunes on the PC.

    Now a question;

    Every time I go to sync the itouch I get the following message, see attached.

    Obviously this message has me concerned as even though I have downloaded the apps as stated before I dont know if that includes the content of these apps.

    Anyone have any experience with this in the past?

    Best Regards

    Kyman12

    I think that you can manually add or remove things onto the iPod Touch, but if you try to change libraries it will erase everything. The good news is that you should now have everything in an iTunes folder on your PC, so they are accessible for future. make sure and back that up.

    yea I know what you are saying about the manual syncing, but I am still not sure what happens to the content of the various apps. hence my concern. there must be a way, usually apple have stuff well though out......

    Not when it comes to moving stuff the "wrong way", i.e. iPod/iPhone to PC rather than the other way. As far as they are concerned it doesn't/shouldn't happen.
