I've no 3g connection on eMobile today. When I set it to gsm only in the network settings I get an edge connection. Similar think happened a few months back. Was a problem on the network.

playing around, i've found that i have data after a reboot with wifi turned off.
then if i connnect wifi i lose data and it wont come back until a reboot.
some on xda have reported this issue but have success switching to airplane mode and back, i do not.

i\am flashing cyanogenmod now to test if its definitely rom related

flashed to cyanogen 7, still no data, this time none after reboot either,
could be a metero issue or hardware issue i suppose

emobile piggybacks on the meteor hardwar afaik, so it sounds like a Meteor issue.
Best give em a ring but you'll probably get the generic "works on the line" answer and and imprecise guesstimate of when normal service will resume.

thanks for the replies, i do sometimes get access for a few minutes after a reboot so has me thinking that the network is ok, but more people having random issues does reinforce the idea of an intermitten network problem

ill try flash a few more roms to see if any of them show improvement, otherwise ill wait until tomorrow and call meteor
