    Hi,

    I know this doesn't really go here but not sure where else.

    The situation is i'm in 1st year Dentistry in TCD at the moment but not happy in it really. I want to change course and do P.E. Teaching in UCC. But I want to know what the story would be with fee's and grant etc..??

    Any help would be appreciated

    You will be liable to pay for one years college should you change course. You must apply via the CAO to your new course. After the first year you will not need to pay anymore fees.

    Hope this has helped and don't worry about changing. Everyone does it and you should do something you really love.

    Normally you pay EU student fees for first year, then you just pay reg fee after that. That would be €5,720 + reg fee next year. I don't know how that works out with grants.

    I dropped out in January after a year and a half.

    So as other poster's have said you will be liable to pay full tuition fees (raging from 6000-8500 depending on course and college) for 1 year. For your second year you will revert to free fees again and just be liable for reg. fee

    I know that some grants are for school leavers only so you won't be able to get these grants, but I'm not sure about the others.
