Hi, my car is due for a NCT soon, and I cant seem to get my brakelight on the back window working. Ive tested it for power and none seems to be going to it, so i dont think it is the actual light itself.

Does anybody have any ideas or solutions, as they would be greatly
    appreciated? :)

    Thanks!

Must be a loose connection somewhere. My dad had this problem on his late model Rover 600i and I found a broken wire.

Assuming you have checked the fuses etc.

It's not a common fault, put 12V to it and see does it illuminate.

I did that, it illuminates. I have a feeling its a loose connection somewhere. I have the connections at the light exposed, but is there any others anywhere else that might have come loose?

Continuity test of the cable, if all else fails scotch lock it to get it through the test.

If you were in Cork I'd take a peek for you, or at the very least do some quick and nasty cabling between it, and the normal brake lights for you.
