I've never been there, but Downtown Atlanta isn't supposed to be that dangerous. It's the hotel district. Check it out on Google map; if you stick to the main roads to the hotel, it's pretty modern streets and no rundown areas. As long as people are smart, I'm sure they'll be fine. There's going to be thousands of fans around, and obviously many staying in the same hotel.

From my experience, Try and stay away from Underground Atlanta at night, lots of gangs and homeless people other than that all the other areas of Downtown are safe. The Hotel District is very safe and theres lots of shops, nightclubs and restaurants.

that's why i walk with only a debit/cell with me,not much they can rob me for,and if they do they will get a nice pepper spray to the face
