    Ever thank a post someone made years ago, just so the person can dig through all their thanked post to find the new addition?

    Cause everybody rigorously checks their thanked posts and anyone who claims otherwise is a liar. Just like people who say they never masturbate.

    No why would I want to waste my time thanking a post someone made years ago, when I could just look for a post made in the present and thank that.

    You waste more of their time thanking an old post because it doesn't appear on the top of the "Find all thanked posts by ..." list
