Wrestlers complaining

Bryan Alvarez brought up that on TNA iMPACT, everybody complains. Everybody's unhappy with their slot and what they're doing. I realise that conflict is the essence of drama (and so storylines etc) but there's no levity, variety and ultimate enjoyment if everyone "hates" their position. It's a subconsious thing that makes it less appealing. People watch TV to escape, not to take on the problems of the characters their watching (yes some of the time, and some wrestlers, but not all wrestlers all of the time!)

It's something that I first noticed in ~2003, that the commentary/general tone of wrestling was "it's a slog, we need to sort out this problem" which is in stark contrast to the Hulkamania Era, where everyone was coked up and absolutely stoked to start another show/PPV (despite major heels having the advantage, everyone was looking forward to the show - listen to Piper, Monsoon and all the wrestlers etc who are quite optimistic!).

Anyway, can you guys write down wrestlers in WWE and TNA whose characters are generally happy?

WWE : Daniel Bryan. The Divas in general. Cena. Now you continue!

    TNA :

Well the reason they were always so hyped up and happy back then was because they had to sell tickets to the shows. Promos went out to local areas and networks to advertise the big shows and house shows and they had to be constantly happy. No one is gonna go to a show when yer man advertising it is pissed off.

lol that last line! surely it's the same today? Or maybe because there's no area-specific promos anymore...?

Alvarez has a huge bias against TNA though (as bad as it may be).

Rarely would you see area specific promos anymore. Lower card guys might make a radio appearance, or the flyers will be locality-specific.

The LAW guys also seem to hate TNA, but it's hard to determine if it's bias or not ever since their talent have been banned from doing interviews on their radio show.

I think it's a festering hatrid from constant disappointment, seeing the unbelievable potential of the company and what it actually producing.

I will say Pollock's extremely nit-picky but i think it makes it funnier. Plus Wai tries to take the opposite opinion and try make sense of it all. Makes for a fantastic dynamic :)

Yeah Ting and Agnew want to enjoy Impact, but get constantly left let-down and frustrated. I remember Agnew being really excited about the potential 'Monday Night Wars 2'. Pollock and Lebranski just despise the product at the moment!
