    Hi all,

I have an interview with The Kerry Group next week for their graduate programme. The position I am going for is Sales/Commercial and I'm just wondering if anyone has worked in this dept before and could let me know what their experience was like...

They'll work you hard, but give you a savage career if you put in the work...they are continuing to expand aswell..I know a few people who have spent time in Mexico, Brazil, US, Australia..and of course they are huge in the UK. Best of luck with the interview..i would say emphasise your work ethic and adaptability for sure.

do you work for the kerry group??

Used to, not anymore. Like I said, once you have the interview they're interested, just emphasise your flexibility and work ethic..just be positive really, same as any interview, and you'll be fine.

Know the history of the company and at least some clue about operations and products etc would help. (e.g: Walls brand in the Uk, Denny in Ireland etc.)

I think they do an aptitude test as part of 1st interview aswell, so have a look at a few of them. Presume the interview is in tralee is it?

I had a 2nd round interview from them 6 weeks ago, got an email off them last week that they have yet to make a decision and will inform me as soon as they do. Its a graduate program in the US. I've already had a phone interview and the assessment. Would really like the job, but getting a bit worried now. Anyone out there hear anything at all??

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone worked in a Kerry Food group factory in south Monaghan? Have an interview soon. What are Kerry foods interviews like, what format?

Have you had the interview? How did it go? What position was it for? Was it a graduate position? Usually format is a HR person and tehn a manager of teh function you are applying fro (production/quality/maintenance manager) - usually stuff like "tell me about a time you have worked as part of a team/under pressure/on your own" and tehn more rfunctions p ecific questions - what would you so in this or that situation... (again - depends on what position you have applied for and at what level?)

    Hi,

I Know a few people who have gone for this. my boss also worked there before.

people have said it is good, but hard. if you have previous experienceor have worked a few years already it will be a bit slow to start off. lots of politics though there. good luck with it, good to hear a grad getting a go of it. :)

Hi, I've just been offered a position on the Kerry Group QA graduate programme and they have said they will initially place me in Ossett, West Yorshire. I've also been offered a QA graduate programme with Glanbia and I would be started in Ireland. Has anyone any advice on how to decide between them or know anything specifically about the Ossett plant in Kerry and the graduate programme. I already have the glanbia contract so have a lot of info about them! Thanks!

In Ossett they make dairy spreads, like Low Low etc, Kerry foods makes spreads both there and in Listowel, Co. Kerry so I would think that you could be moved between the 2. I have been to both sites but was based in Listowel. People are nice and the work is ok, you will probably get to see different areas during your time on the programme, but I can't say for sure that you will.
I don't know anything about Glanbia to be honest, just make a list of pro's and con's before you make a decision.
Have Kerry sent you your contract yet?

Sorry, I have a telephone interview for the graduate program. you can help me to know what are these interview questions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 Pollypop

Why you want to work for them? Know a lot about the company and competitors.
Questions are mainly competency based, like how you work in a team and how you manage your time, How you deal with difficult colleagues, general things like that.
Nothing too technical. know your CV well and your 2 and 5 year career plan.

I did this interview nearly 10years ago in Tralee

there was the technical bit with ex engineers who were now managers/analysts

the HR bit was difficult- a mock situation where u had to deal with an employee who didn't want to work/was lazy/slacking etc

had to do a presentation too about something can't remember what

had to do a group discussion with the other people to see how you would interact with the others

fraid I didn't get it anyway, but hope this helps

Hi! How long after telephone interview you waited for a response?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 Pollypop

I got the invitation for the assessment centre about 3 weeks after. Some other I know heard sooner, while some who did their interviews before Christmas haven't heard yet. But I'm thinking because they told the recruitment people they could only attend the May centres so that is probably why they haven't heard yet.

How did the phone interview go?

Well, I don't need answers anymore...
