So I checked the equipment sticky at the top, good thread but there was nothing on speakers in it, so im wondering what do you recommend as speakers for a home setup for practice djing? Would like to just get a L and R set and also would like for them to be powered and have a XLR input if possible but doesn't have to be. I have about €120 price range but have no experience in buying speakers.

Id like for them to have good bass also and low distortion on high levels.

Any recommendations? Remember, im just getting them for home use and the odd house party (use in a garage etc)

    cheers

There ya go. Works out at €142 delivered but worth it for quality kit. If you absolutely want to stick to your budget, I have the M-audio AV-30s and would highly recommend them if you can manage without the XLR input.

thats just for one speaker though!!!!
Have a look at the Alesis M1 active 520s that are 225 euro a pair incl delivery from Aquariussound.ie.

The KRK's in that link are B stock too so not such a great deal

On that budget, and considering it's for DJ'ing rather than production work, pick up a hifi with an aux input. Wont be XLR, but will be absolutely fine for home use
