Does anyone know how to set up this 3g router to connect and update the dynamic IP on dyndns.org.

The doesn't seam to be any configurable option to set the modem to update at dyndns.org. It looks like I have to use their IP Manager system :(

Looking at the Ravens I have here, it doesn't appear to support DynDNS. The other Sierra Wireless box does, AFAIK. (The Helix RT).

Depending on the carrier you are using and the nature of your requirement, the big two will offer a private (non-routable) static IP for the SIM that isn't behind any firewalls. You'd then be able to treat this unit as part of your existing LAN or WAN rather than it being 'on the internet'. This might make your life easier (or much harder). :)

If you are using VFIE, rememeber that their mobile IP's are behind a firewall - even if you get DynDNS working, their perimeter will drop unexpected packets that aren't part of an existing stream.

In any case, nice choice on the router - I find them to be excellent.

    K.
