    Yeah, it's worth a gander alright. You'll find that a lot of 'spiritual converts' (for the lack of a better term) have undergone Near Death Experiences (NDEs) and have seen 'the other side'.

    The author Colm Keane touches upon this subject thoroughly in his book 'Going Home: Irish Stories from the Edge of Death' actually.

    I'm not too sure what to make of it all myself, although I know a couple of men who had NDEs that had a profound impact on their belief systems and lives. One of them was a middle level manager for a well-known British company and was enjoying a five-star lifestyle, until he had what he believed to be a NDE following a car accident, which prompted him to retrain in psychotherapy. A 360-degree turn for him.
