    Hiya - I'm looking to buy a package? I'm a direct seller and looking to move my products online. Is buying a package the right way to go?

    What would you recommend?

    Thanks

    There are a number of 'free' open source products such as
    * Zen cart
    * OS Commerce
    Take a look at this for some comparisons...

    To answer your question, I think so but research the pros to them (starting with my link above) and take it from there.There have been loads of threads on cart software before (e.g.)

    Better than sex.

    Bayanc,
    Some (most?) web hosts provide shopping carts with their hosting services, I'd recommend looking to see if yours does before forking out on one.

    You should have a secure website too (SSL) for payments online if you are going to do them through your page (credit card online)... but i think there is a cost associated with that.

    SSL will cost more usually, so need to check with your web provider.
