Any negatives about this car? My dad is looking to scrap his car for a compact and this can be got for about 10,500.

    Any others worth considering?
    Fiesta
    Micra
    Clio

    Cheers :)

if he's looking at the petrol, stay as far away as possible.

my dad had one, it got a couple of clutch kits under warranty, then a flywheel, a few sets of discs and pads under warranty (and its very difficult to claim these on warranty), a new rear heated windscreen, the drivers seat belt buckle broke, so did the headlight adjuster.

    it was poo.

Auld lady has a 08 1.2. Head gasket went after 18000km 6 months out of warranty.

Went out and looked\drove a few cars and the Corsa wasn't near the best. Here's the ranking of what we saw -
    Polo (expensive tho)
    Fiesta (excellent scrappage deal)
    Corsa
    Micra

The Fiesta Titanium is coming in at 12,700 delivered (with scrappage) and the Polo is coming in at 14,400 (with scrappage). The Polo was the better drive but 1700 is a lot extra!

I'd be looking at a polo if possible.

Polo or Fiesta I'd be recommending, fiesta better to drive but the polo feels more like solid. Fiesta the far better looking too

I would not bother with the Titanium spec Fiesta, the cheaper Style is much better value imo. all the Titanium really has over the Style is air conditioning. Style still comes with front fog light and alloy wheels.

Would not bother with the Micra, it feels cheaply put together and does nothing that the others don't do, the Clio 5dr is not as good value as the 3dr. Also take a look at the Hyunda i20, it comes with a 5 year warranty.
